Hey, this is pretty awesome!

Potential spoilers, but not really since we all knew this a while ago.

This show has basically taken 30 Rock's spot as "Best Network TV Joke Factory," which makes me confused as to why a lot of people seem to be focused on its characterization and plot progression. I first noticed this when I saw some people complaining about how Winston is ~too crazy~ now, but it seems like a lot of people are treating this more like HIMYM and less like Happy Endings, when I feel like it's a lot closer to the latter. Thinking that the Schmidt plotline is dragging the show down is one thing, but being concerned that it's not True Enough To His Character is weird to me

I agree. I don't think I ever really care about bad plots or people acting off-character. I'm just in it for the jokes, and New Girl is the funniest show on TV in my opinion.

I just found out that the last Paleyfest new girl panel (from back in late season 2) is up on Hulu, and it's delightful.

I honestly can't even remember how that ended, other than him stealing her cat. That was Daisy, right?

And the bit where Jess couldn't say "batmobile" was loving hysterical. She was just so confused.

Whoops. Not like one of the main points of the show is that they're all 30+ or anything.

To be fair, they act very much like twentysomethings.

This thread had way too many complaints about the best show on TV. It's better when we talk about whiskey.

Haha yeah that was the best line, it was roughly "Drink up Checkers. Forget what you saw..." in a Nixon voice.

Winston absolutely kills it. It sucks they still haven't figured out a concrete direction for his character, but honestly the way they have been using that lack of focus to go weird places with the character has been a great source of humor.

The way I see it, it seems like they haven't figured out a concrete direction for any of the characters. Not that that's a bad thing.
