Babies are best relegated to having one moment of "look at the cute, baby" and then they should never be seen again. Nobody wants to see characters deal with baby problems.

The Office had a pretty funny gag late in its run with Will Ferrell just telling Jim and Pam he does not care about their baby at all.

Season six had two episodes that felt like series finales to me. The one where Ann and Chris leave really felt like a finale. My wife thought it was the series finale.
