I think the only thing I didn't like about this episode was the "leaving Pawnee wasn't so bad maybe we should travel more" bit at the end felt to me like the show saying "you know how after a few seasons sitcom characters seem to travel all the time? Well get ready!"
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought "the Simpsons are going to London!"

I love when the show makes Leslie into the villain, and I hope they're not afraid to stick to it. The Ben arc at the beginning of Season 4 and the "steamroller" scene was fantastic.

I still don't understand why Tina Fey has never had a cameo on this show. It's not as though they shy away from high-profile guest stars.

Also I want to see more of Leslie's mother. She and Leslie work fantastically together, and I've always imagined she plays a large role in Leslie's life, given that she's basically the reason Leslie acts like she does.

I'm totally ready for this to be the last season what with people leaving and being away for movie shoots but please please let them give it an actual proper ending. I'd hate for it to die unceremoniously.
I'm trying to think of what the show needs to wrap up to have a satisfying ending, and I think a lot of it can be handled as subplots.

These need to be A-plots
1. Ann and Chris leave.
2. Leslie deals with Ann leaving.
3. Leslie wins the recall election, and reconciles with her hometown.

These can be B-plots
4. April figures out what she wants to do with her life.
5. Tom's business wins out or Tom finds a better venture. Also: Tom finds love? (I'd like to see them bring back Lucy, but that might just be me.)
6. Donna gets some and tweets about it.
7. Gerry wanders through the woods outside Pawnee, no longer certain of his own identity. He gets his own Orphan Black-style suspense spinoff.

I'm really sad about this. Every show I like is dying - I can't remember having so few shows to watch post-DVR era.

It did seem like it was running out of steam, but still better than almost every sitcom on the air.
Look at it this way: When this wraps up we could get a Fey/Poehler joint project.

So was Parks and Rec, and it's now teetering closer to the survival side than most fans are comfortable with.

I thought it was a pretty solid episode overall, it was just hurt by the main storyline. Leslie trying to use Ben's position to get what she wants should have been a way bigger deal, especially in light of the season 3/4 plot about co-workers not dating because of that exact situation. But this was probably the best episode Ann's had all season, and the April/Andy stuff was good.

Ice Town. Ice Town was a very expensive failure. I think part of that expense was that Ben embezzled a large portion of money from it, which is how he can live so comfortably on a government salary now. He was able to use his super accounting skills to steal that money and no one was the wiser.

S7E1 (The Divide): An earthquake causes a massive rift in the ground to open between Pawnee and Eagleton. Leslie arranges a community effort to rescue survivors, but Pawnee is uncooperative. Ron begins constructing a bridge. Andy gets a job at Tom's restaurant.

S7E2 (Unification Bridge): Ron is frustrated when Sweetums builds a bridge of Nutri-Yums bars across the gorge. Leslie must choose between supporting her friend's bridge or helping the town rebuild. Larry is wounded by a creature from inside the rift, leaving Craig to take over in his absence.

S7E3 (Animal Control): Due to budget cuts, the Parks department must take on the task of exterminating the possum-like creatures pouring by the millions out of the gorge. April befriends one of the eternally-burning skeletons that lives in the crack. Tom's restaurant faces health inspection.

S7E4 (Lucy Returns): Leslie and Ben argue over whether to abandon Eagleton to the creatures or mount a rescue from Pawnee's one surviving helicopter. When Lucy returns, she and Tom elope, causing Leslie and Ben to realize what's really important: friendship.

Here are some episodes I think we can expect to see with Leslie's pregnancy:

- Leslie, exhausted and overworked, becomes convinced she is going to give birth to a raccoon. She attempts to induce a miscarriage through a waffle overdose, but is stopped by Ron, who explains that even if your child turns out to be something horrible, like a raccoon or a socialist, they are still your child. Andy and April use Champion in an ad campaign for the Pawnee humane society. Tom and Donna argue about decorating the restaurant.

- Leslie, after reading too much Harry Potter m-preg fanfiction and watching a documentary on seahorses, decides that Ben should carry her child to term. She kidnaps him and is about to perform a uterus transplant when she is stopped by Ron, who explains that you can't avoid hard work by forcing it on someone else, something Leslie should know better than anyone. Craig's life is changed when he befriends a wild deer in the Pawnee woods. Jean-Ralphio applies to work at Tom's Bistro.

- Leslie is vomiting too hard due to the pregnancy to attend a meeting of Indiana parks department directors in Ron's place, as Ron does not want to attend. Ron is forced to attend, but refuses to speak. Instead, he stands silently holding a laptop on which Leslie is Skyping to the meeting. Leslie, dehydrated, passes out. Larry saves the meeting using Leslie's notes. The department does not acknowledge him. Ben is told a Game of Thrones spoiler for the next book, and obsesses over whether or not it is true. Andy gets lost at the mall and asks a friendly policeman for help.

- An ultrasound reveals that Leslie is going to have twins. Leslie experiences a nervous breakdown in response to the news and becomes convinced that her children are the reincarnations of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. Ron approves, but is disappointed to realize she is not referring to Teddy Roosevelt. Leslie requests Secret Service protection, and then appears on Pawnee Today to give the news to Joan Calamezzo, who reveals that she is also the reincarnation of Eleanor Roosevelt. Donna and Larry bond over a shared love of James Brown. Andy records a jingle for Tom's Bistro.

If this was the finale it would be one thing but Christ...this show is done. There's probably a better moment where it actually jumped the shark a few years back, but this was a good enough spot to point to and go "It was over at this moment."

I didn't even mind Craig.

Whoever said earlier that turning Leslie from an obsessive person who can't actually accomplish anything into someone who's hyper-efficient and actually gets stuff done, was the worst change in the show was probably right.

I wasn't being serious. I think the last two seasons fell into the sitcom trap of being unwilling to change the status quo after a couple seasons that were really good at actually moving things forward. This jump gives me hope that the last season can pick things up again.
