If they are going to backdoor pilot the Flash after a season of regular humans (even powerless adaptations of normally powered characters), it's a good way to setup that metahumans exist.

As a viewer who has no idea about Green Arrow beyond this show/Smallville I thought Brother Blood was Scare Crow but I didn't let myself believe it until there was a name drop.

Every week this show is dropping big reveals, it's amazing. Smallville would give us 10 filler episodes before reveals this good.

To be fair, that's an nontraditional costume for Brother Blood, which is probably for the best. It could be an albino in purple tights.

The reason they hired a new actress is because the one they hired for the pilot/season one wouldn't have been in the show until now (you know, because they planned it that way) and it would've been dumb to actually hire her on a long-term contract to not have her do anything (and pay her) for most of a season.

They also recast the role because the first actress wasn't Caity Lotz.

It's sort of intentionally so. Nolan changed it just because there's no logical reason for Bruce Wayne to join the League of Assassins and then be surprised that they're all dicks.
