Heartcatch is a Legitimately Good Show, not just the best of the Pretty Cure franchise. The Recurring Miniboss Team is entertaining, the Big Scary Evil Counterpart is threatening and pretty much unstoppable. The cast of the story is universally well fleshed out, and it never actually forgets about the random Victims of the Week--and they frequently actually pop back into the story just to remind you that people exist who aren't just victims, or props for actual important people.
