Safe Haven https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHL9ayClCUY This was my first real attempt at writing and directing a short film. It's a thriller about a couple hiding out at a farm house. Honestly, it's not the greatest thing out there. I haven't directed anything since then, but would like to soon. I do feel like I've improved as a writer since then, so there's the bright side. Hate http://vimeo.com/70186048 This one I wrote and it was directed by a friend of mine. Another thriller. Staring Josh from Safe Haven again. (also filmed at the same farm, you can see the house in the background of some shots) We shot this one about a year after Safe Haven and within a couple days of a year ago today. I'm much happier with what I did with the script. I've been spending more time writing recently and should have some more short films to post soon. At the moment, I have five shorts I wrote in varying stages of production, each with a different director. Two are currently in post, having both filmed in the same week about a month ago, two are in pre-production, still getting the details hammered down, and the fifth starts filming the day after tomorrow. Whenever I write a short, I post it to my website at http://stephen.huggard.info/ and let whoever wants to use it do so. (I do take them down once they've been claimed, so I don't have duplicate films running around) I have a couple features with first drafts finished and a few more getting close, so I hope to be moving in that direction soon.

A short film I wrote is playing in the local film festival in about two weeks, and the director put together a trailer for it, so I thought I would share it here. It's called The Solipsist, and it's a science-fictiony romance type thing. http://vimeo.com/98274802 If you're in Saint Louis, and have nothing to do on July 16th, come check it out. We're planning on finding other festivals to submit it to, so if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. I also have another one I wrote, by a different director, showing in the same shorts program, but there aren't any promotional materials out for it I can share.
