Is The Divine Comedy coming to film? It depends on you! A small production company out of Upstate/Central New York called Yellow House are taking on the challenge of bringing The Divine Comedy to film. You've seen the cartoons and video game adaption tie-ins, but none of the films based on Dante Alighieri’s The Divine Comedy quite cut it for an accurate portrayal of the events, locations, and characters that readers have grown to love over the centuries. Fans of the material have been begging for Hollywood’s take on the classic Italian poem since the dawn of cinema, however, time and time again they have been left empty handed. Until now! This will not be an animated feature or documentary. We are creating a Drama/Adventure that "wows" the audience with our representation of this beloved tale. This will be a live-action, all out “in your face”, portrayal of Dante's journey. A journey fueled by his love for Beatrice while being led through the depths of hell by the seemingly all-knowing Virgil. We title our project simply enough... Dante. Many different artists from all over the north east volunteering their time and skills to bring this film to life. We are creating this from the ground up. No pre-made special effects packages or sounds from a a sound bank are being used in this film. All of the work is original, and that is why we need your help.
