Number one critique: no one fucks a monkey. But no really with a 5k goal and flex funding it sounds like there's a disconnect between 'kitschy 80's cheese' and 'lovely looking shoestring' so not super enthused by the prospect of the final product to begin with.

Why did you even ask for comments? Maybe I wasn't clear? My point was right now you got $650, pretend the funding process ends entirely right now and that's all you get, does the movie not get made, where does that money go? What happens to the other $4500 you got 'secured' already? What's the $9000 grand total budget going to at the end of the day? I'm just kinda used to dudes being all 'yea man it's like a total homage to old sci fi movies' and use that as an excuse to use lovely dollar store props like we're supposed to go 'oh I get it this looks like poo poo on purpose'.

How much of the budget is the star that no one but obscure lovely film nerds and fans of monkey porn would know, I'm genuinely curious what the going rate for a...talent...like that is in the year of our lord 2014. The reason I don't have a lot of interest in the movie is that it looks like a typical 'heh heh, get it' kinda 'love letter to old shlock' or whatever the buzzword is. Like, the page didn't have much to say about the movie, as if it expected me to see the cast and go 'ha ha yes I remember her' and throw my money at the screen. Also fun Goofus and Gallant moment, see how Egbert reacted? He gave his own views and acknowledged the views of his critic without being a dismissive dickbag because he realizes in the self-promotion thread in a forum like SA chances are someone's going to have a complaint.
