This is one of my favorite games ever made and it would be sweet to get some goons playing mp together. I haven't played it in a long time, though. Does anyone know if the ladder is full of hacks and poo poo? Last I heard it was pretty bad but anecdotal evidence ...

Stay Out of FYAD posted:"Hacks and poo poo?" The only thing some people do is maphack. This doesn't really matter in team games so much as it does 1v1, but yeah it still sucks. Regardless, ladder games are still pretty drat popular. Also drophacks? But yeah, fair enough. Oh well, the game is over a decade old. Maybe I'll bust it out and start doing some ladder. I wish Enfos were ported over to Diablo 3.

I think the balance of war3 has shifted around a lot but, honestly, this game is probably ball-smashingly hard to balance. It's so random and unique and has all kinds of goofy poo poo going on on it, I'm impressed with how well Blizz managed to keep it together. Even the bad things were never too bad (with some exceptions as seen above which is just plain silly.)

I never played online really until TFT, so I didn't know about any of that. Makes sc2 look not so bad pre-HotS (it wasn't an unbalanced mess, just got a bit stale)
