Do not even ask posted:It's petty as gently caress, but I irrationally hate Brawl because 90% of the soundtrack is basically the Brawl theme remixed over and over and over. Not because it plays slower than Melee or the tripping; I hate it because it beats that loving theme into the ground and I was sick of it by the time the game came out. That's one of the reasons I personally love the soundtrack- I have an irrational adoration for leitmotifs. Honestly, I think I like Brawl so much more than the others because I never had anyone to play against when I was a kid, so pretty much all games might as well have been single player only to me. I'd say I'm holding out hope for Infinite Space 2 but even I know that's not a thing that's going to happen. Even if the interface and UI design would translate perfectly to a Wii U gamepad/screen.

Anyway, really liking SMRPG so far. I'll probably like it more when they figure out there's a run button, though.

I kinda disagree with Pat's DMC2 comparison for 3rd Birthday. It's more like RE6, where they just go "Alright, guess this is a shooter franchise now." Seriously though, what's next? Listening to the podcast, Matt mentioned giving Eyeshield 21 a look. Word of advice: Read the manga, ignore the anime. The anime's a cut-down eyesore, and the manga is drawn by the guy who draws One Punch Man. What they did to his art is terrible. Eyeshield was something I read on a whim, and was the thing that turned me around on sports anime/manga. It's great.
