Well I'm putting the Eyeless cult sidequest in BG2 on hold as I can't be damned to get pass those undeads and snake people. I've started this game over many times before and I was wondering what sidequests/dungeons are the easiest and should be done first?

I do hate how PS:T has many pointless and vestigial trappings of the other IE games, and I have to ask: is the Rest Button ever used? I don't recall ever being given the opportunity to use it.

Baldur's Gate II problem: I took over the De'Arnesse Keep 100 days ago without Nalia in my party and since then I've finished the Fighter Stronghold, but Nalia's personal quest never triggered. What changes must I make in Shadowkeeper so that I hear the news that they're finally burying Nalia's father's (probably smelly) remains?

CrusherEAGLE posted:Random question: What do you guys do with the random crap that starts accumulating in your inventory? Most notably, spell scrolls. I always put them in the "Don't use unless it's an emergency" category in my head, which basically means, never use, since there's plenty of memorized spells I can use instead. Gem Bags and Scroll Cases can be bought in Waukeen's Promenade and the Copper Coronet. If you want to reroll your character be sure to install the Dungeon-Be-Gone mod to skip the first chapter.

Bouchacha posted:Why are Planescape sprites so much better looking then the rest of the infinity games? There are fewer, but more unique, NPCs in Planescape and they not customisable paper-dolls like in BG. They're also 96 pixels tall compared to BG's 48.

Xinlum posted:So I decided gently caress it and downloaded BP Series Party AI, which says it definitely supports Enhanced Edition. It also crashes on installing but I'm 99.99% positive its because of my previous file fuckery. Gonna reinstall and try fresh, wish me luck! Use EEKeeper. Charisma is useful so long as it's not too low.

Should I wait until getting the Mirrored Cloak before facing any Beholders or is there an easier way?

They never did fix the speed of the Jaheira romance in the Enhanced Edition. I finished the Anomen romance (Don't ask) with half of Chapter 2 finished, but Jaheira's romance was only 2/3rds done by the time I was outside Suldanesser with every sidequest done. Thank god for console commands.

I don't think I'll ever finish BG1. I finished BG2 sans the expansion, but I always lose the will to continue when I set foot in Cloakwood mine.

Icewind Dale: I'm going to have two fighters that I'll dual-class to a Mage and a Druid. I know about the restrictions in proficiencies and alignment, but I was wondering if the best level to dual over is 3? I don't want gimp my characters for long even if dualing from level 9 gives great HP. Icewind Dale II: Outside of receiving an EXP penalty if your non-favored class levels vary by more than one, does it really matter the order in which you choose class levels?

This may be half off-topic but I'm going to try and finish NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer before I properly start a run through Icewind Dale 2, as it's so much easier to generate just one Player-Character instead of six, and I was wondering what is the best and most convenient way to set up the camera? There's a load of options but I just can't seem to get it right.

What fixes do have to make so IWD:EE isn't so choppy? I've disabled footsteps and steam overlay, and in the INI file I've put pathfinding modules at 40000 and framerate at 35.

Why is Bonzai Buddy answering his own question? Why do people share avatars? Content: Since Torment isn't 3e like IWD2, does that mean the EE can come out sooner? I really would to replay it, but it's a pain starting up with at least five mods, as well as the quality-of-life features it could benefit from like auto-looting and high-lighting objects,

What's the reason for those wilderness areas that show up near the end of SoA? I never found anything on them to justify even exploring.

I played BG2:EE for QOL features, but I always played kosher. I never talked to or summoned Dorn, Raasad or Hexxar more than I had to. Every time I go through the Bridge District I try to avoid triggering Neera's entrance.

Baldur's Gate Replay 2021 - Abandoned playthrough of 1 soon after entering BG. I entered the upper-right district and then couldn't leave. Pathfinding bug. Couldn't be arsed to fix it if Beamdog didn't. Bug persisted on playthrough of 2 though no soft-locking if you just try area-transition again. - Midway though the sandbox of 2. Tight world design holds up. Still have no idea why a bunch of empty forest maps open up at the end. - Beamdog really rubs me the wrong way as authors in charge unlike say, the Age of Empires 2 people. I do not care for later additions to an old-rear end story that was, while far from perfect, relatively complete. If I replay in future I'll install a kosher mod that erases all trace of Neera. - The IE games are a very good adaptation of a very bad source material, 2e. Nothing about it makes sense and I'm not nostalgic about it in the least. Half the stat ranges are meaningless and half the races can't do poo poo. - Editing in a bag of holding is mandatory at the start. - Gained a greater appreciation for Deadfire. That game felt slight at first glance, but 20 years of design-evolution means shaving a dozen hours of redundant backtracking and inventory management.
