I'm looking for a 8 or 10 inch tablet for some light media consumption (web browsing, videos). HDMI output so that I can hook it up to the tv once in a while would be nice too. Wifi only is fine as I can always tether it to my phone outside of home/work. Basically, I want a light weight device that I can crash on the couch and browse the Internet with that isn't my phone because I'm apparently getting too old to be able to comfortably browse forums on a smart phone screen anymore. I don't really have any requirements around budget but would like something that provides some semblance of value for money. I guess I have a preference towards Android devices but only because I currently have an Android phone. I'm open to other platforms though. Oh yeah, good battery life would be a definite plus as that was one of the things that steered me away from just getting a notebook instead (also a notebook would probably be too clunky for chillaxing on the counch).
