BlitzBlast posted:How many resets do you estimate you'll have at the end? At the rate you're going now I'd assume you'll end with around 50, but it sounds like things are going to heat up soon. We're about 1/4 through the game here (about two thirds of the first school year of three), and the risk of bombs etc. will probably rise the further along we get. So more like 100 I think. (Anyone taking bets?)

Morroque posted:I really have to say I am genuinely surprised that a game of this order can be considered difficult and actually require employing strategy. My impression of this genre wasn't a terribly high one before; I didn't even think they had any classifiable gameplay at all, and that this game was an early progenitor of that. However, seeing it now in process reminds a lot of Ice Pick Lodge's The Void in many respects, at least as far as concept and gameplay goes. You might be thinking of the straight Visual Novel, which is basically a novel with illustrations, and most often a few branching paths but not much to keep track of otherwise. (Often a VN will have a hidden "affection score" or similar for each possible character, which is affected by various choices. At some point you will then be sent down a specific path/route depending on your affection scores, but it's entirely deterministic, and overall such a simple mechanic that you can easily enumerate the possibilities, unlike the Dating Sim where you have multiple choices on each day.)

For video repair, have you tried using a tool intended for MPEG Transport Streams? I.e. one usually meant to deal with data captured from a digital tv receiver. Those are MPEG-packaged data that may naturally be corrupted due to the over-the-air nature, I think such a program might be able to recover your file. Also check the size of the file you did end up having, and compare it to the size of other recordings. Does the size approximately match what you'd expect of a recording of the length you did?

I have to say, I'd rather hoped Yuina would also change her hairdo in the ending, at least for a short while. Eternally having one eye covered is ridiculously dorky and if her ending is about her trying to change, that hair would be one place to begin. I think she'd be quite pretty with both eyes visible.

B, not because I have anything against frogs, but for the other stuff that happened in that timeline. So is it some DID thing, or twins, or just loving with us? Will the plot be uncovering the existence of the twins and reliably start dating just one of them, or converging/killing off the DID personalities? I really hope it isn't DID. (And which one does Takumi's magic stats cover? Or is that random too?)

A 10/9/9/9 cross review score is an accepted way of Famitsu telling people "you're going to by it anyway, so who cares what score we give it?" Visual novels and similar games tend to hang out in the 33-36 range. Sounds like they score games on a scale of 30/40 to 40/40.

To what extent does I've really still exist? I know their name is on something once in a while (most recently the Sora no Method anime, opening song performed by Larval Stage Planning, wtf name) but at least most of the big vocalist names have gone the way of big labels and lost the "I've Sound" name.

Okay this is barely related to the games at hand, but I figure sheep might know something. I've recently noticed that Japan seems to use the word "graffiti" (グラフィティー) in a weird way. The regular meaning in European languages is "unauthorized scribbles on walls", but it seems that isn't what Japan uses it for. Examples: Sentimental Graffiti (I think you covered this game a bit earlier, perhaps only in stream) Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti (saw this game speedrunned on AGDQ earlier this week) Koufuku Graffiti (manga, anime of it just started) Porno Graffiti (band, not sure if they still exist) It seems the meaning applied is more like "teenagers' exploration of their own life/goal in life" which, I guess, can be related to graffiti's role in hip hop culture. Edit: Someone else asked the same question in ADTRW, and an answer was found. Outer Science posted:found the answer by searching for 青春グラフィティ (youth graffiti), it comes from george lucas's "American Graffiti" which is a coming-of-age story lol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Graffiti nielsm fucked around with this message at 20:16 on Jan 11, 2015 |
