Just know that it only takes composite or S-Video input (since most people record through component/HDMI nowadays) and the hardware doesn't allow for recordings in any quality above 480p. I'm not sure if I would recommend it as a capture device in the long run, it's pretty cheap for a reason, but if you're only aiming to do stuff with consoles that are in SD anyway it's not terrible.
