One Christmas grandma gave a VHS copy of The Creation Adventure Team: 6 Short Days, One Big Adventure to my brother.

Which teaches you that if evolution is being taught in your school you should take that as an opportunity to preach creationism to everyone, at the end they will all accept this and clap. If you recognize the dinosaur man from somewhere but can't quite place him, it's because there's a statue of him at the Creation Museum, the same people are behind both ventures.

Somebody cut it down to a 10 minute highlight reel.

Currently grandma is really pissed off about some conspiracy theory that our school board is planning to make boys and girls shower together, which is being pushed by THE GAYS (You know how much THE GAYS like to peep at vagina!)

They can't even get their dumb, outdated X-Files references right. Scully/Dinosaur Man is supposed to be the skeptic, not Non-Descript White Man/Mulder.

If they can't reference a 90's TV show right, how am I supposed to trust their theories?

Old religious film really fascinates me. Here's a crazy public domain film from the 60's about a Communist takeover. If Footmen Tire You, What Will Horses Do? This is crossposted from the movie poster thread.

And here's a highlight.

I'm reminded of Wovenhand, who make intensely dark Nick Cavey alt-country music with very old testament lyrics. Despite their frontman being a committed Christian and a preacher's son and playing quite a few Christian music festivals, the majority of the industry want nothing to do with them despite how marketable their sound should be right now (last album being a mix between country troubadour and Black loving Sabbath in sound).

Edit: I guess Sufjan Stevens gets a lot of mainstream respect as well. His music isn't for me though, so I'll let someone else speak to that.

If you're into batshit experimental folk that's also vaguely religious, Current 93 is kind of doing a similar thing. They've worked with a bunch of crazy artists, from Nick Cave to John Zorn to Thomas Ligotti.

So there's this new faith-based film called Little Boy. It has probably the most tasteless ending in any film since Remember Me and I think this thread might appreciate it.
It turns out the boy causes Hiroshima through sheer power of faith, just so his dad can come back from the war (hence the title).

I like to imagine this is the origin story of that kid from that one episode of the Twilight Zone.

Was posted earlier in the thread but here's the worst of the worst , enjoy!

Alternatively the 1990's Left Behind movie fits all those cliches you mentioned.

This is always the best part.

His accent is really fluid and believable.
