I'd hold off on the Detroit reunion until things are a bit more balanced.

Unless they fixed it this week the pipe shotgun doesn't have any projectiles so it flashes and makes noise but that's it. Use the Thompson instead, it has no world or player model or sounds so its the silent killer. Just slap a dot on your screen like everyone did for the bow. So I fired up rust tonight. Word of advice: watch those graphic options. I have a decent overclock on my i5 and the friggin game overheated my rig. I should have realized when the palm leaves started warping all over the place that it wasn't the game bugging out but my temperatures rising, and I hardlocked about 5m later. The game is beautiful though. I love the player stance with legs firmly planted on the ground, gives it a nice touch. Some UI/mechanics changes aren't obvious at first but they're nicely implemented so it's for the best. My wife insisted that I craft the bucket helmet, that thing is glorious.

On the Mubmle and connected a server called "US East Never Wipe". New command to F1/console into a server is client.connnect 71.174.251.158:33053.

I played legacy on a pubbie server with some friends. It was a mistake. I will be joining you guys on the goon server this time. Although we did rule that server with an iron fist.

It's really hard to get started without being murdered by wild animals/other players. I even found a chest full of loot but a lagging naked guy beat me up with a torch

It's not really playable right now anyways.. there are vanishing walls and all sorts of other issues. Rustafied has a pretty good summary. Also the new thread is here, but it's been pretty slow due to the numerous bugs.
