I could probably go to Germany and order some food and find my way to the airport, but not do anything beyond the most basic tourist conversation. It's not like I didn't try, the class was just pretty poo poo. On the other hand, I can sing 99 Luftballons without loving the accent up too badly, so that's a definite bonus. Or something.
