Yeah, he's one of those artists that I went to listen to one or two of the songs that came to mind and then saw the dozens more I remembered. I'm sure he had more in him as well. A real shame.

That's the thing with triggered drums. You can have them sound like anything, so you don't NEED to do either an "organic" sounding drum sound or the dry "bassdrum sounding like finger snaps" sound used in most XXXXXXXtreme metal. You can also go for big sounding rave drums and play bleedingly fast on them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTWBWQf1PM0 66Samus in the fartblast video also has a introduction video to trigging where he plays a drum set consisting of only bass drum, snare and one tom, but the high hat and crash are set to the drum rims.
