Is it bad that I'd kinda like that My dream addition would be the ability to build a real spaceship in Rimworld's style and have people mining asteroids and adding on to it and stuff. Spacebase DF-9 ending up as a total shitheap nearly killed me. Drink Cheerwine posted:He has a hate-boner for mountain bases specifically, and successful colonies generally. Tynan has a lot of good instincts, but sometimes his sense of balance/fun is kinda wack. I think a lot of it stems from his conception of Rimworld as a "story generator" rather than a game. It also sucks because Tynan's idea of a good story is "Then another hundred idiots came to attack the base again" over and over until one says "except this time they killed everyone the end"

Is there a way to get the preview A15 version through sendowl or is it steam only? EDIT: meatsaw posted:Although the shotgun isn't a bad vanilla weapon, one of my favorite parts of the Combat Realism mod is the ability to make beanbag ammo - so far it's been the perfect way to take someone down without injuring them (too much). I've used it to capture, used it to subdue escapees, and used it to stop rampages and mental breaks. One of the reasons I use Glittertech at all is because of the Pacifier, it's basically a futuristic taser. I'd love to see less-lethal weapons make it to the vanilla game. I like Glittertech to an extent. The Orion guys and the commandos are just dumb because whatever method he uses for raid values is severely hosed up. I'll see a raid of like ten tribals, take them out, then suddenly twenty orion dudes with two tanks are beating at my doors. I really like the advanced power stuff and the Pacifier weapon, since it's effectively a taser, but most of it I don't really care for. You'd think mods with stun weapons would be more common The closest thing to a non-lethal weapon is probably the vulcan cannon from More Vanilla Turrets because it causes so many low-weight injuries that most people pass out from the pain without actually getting their body parts destroyed.

I had my warden get sick with malaria and assigned them to bed rest, meanwhile a raid hit and I captured about five tribals. Fast forward a day or two later of me forgetting to assign a new warden, one of the prisoners in the giant prisoner room dies, and immediately the rest of the prisoners descend upon him and start eating the corpse, since without a warden, none of them have been fed. I think I finally managed to hit the point where I feel like a war criminal, and it was completely by accident I'm just going to let these guys go free, they've been through more than enough

I had a guy at 52% withdrawal since I'm sick of him getting no bonuses from the beer supply. He ended up going on a booze binge without me noticing, taking away the withdrawal effect. Next time I checked, he was sober and his withdrawal was at 51%. So it's good to know you don't lose all your progress if your colonist cheats
