Got my cd copy of Dangerous Days week ago, sweet release. Too bad I missed the limited edition Carpenter Brut is the definite poo poo, waiting for ep3 And speaking of eps, did Power Glove ever said anything about potential new release? There were some single tracks done and released on YT, but no word about ep #2.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but Unit Black Flight is a pretty great project, even more carpenter-ish than others, in a minimal dark analog way. The linked album is a collection of unreleased stuff, but there were two vinyls released on Viewlexx. Def worth checking out Just discovered that Tracks From Trailer will be re-released on tape: http://sarlaccproductions.bandcamp.com/album/tracks-from-the-trailer

Shoehead posted:More new John Carpenter. The album's out in two weeks! Definitely going to buy the cd. This poo poo is just too good. In other news, MegaDrive rereleased his Hardwired album, and then released a separate 4-track EP with remixes from Perturbator, Gost and Dynatron. laserghost fucked around with this message at 23:43 on Jan 24, 2015 |

Lachi James is someone I don't see mentioned at all anywhere, but he definitely nails the pop-rock/italo disco feeling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbdBr54JawI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BXbI594eRk And the vocals are surprisingly really good. The whole album is purchasable from here: https://sunloverrecords.bandcamp.com/album/paradise-lost Another very faithful project is Magic Dance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEvbFWISSB8

Neros77 posted yesterday new track by Syntax, one of the more obscure synth projects: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ApLUHq8g4k His debut EP from yesteryear is one of my favourites. Such a nice chill, soundtrack-y feel in it.

Same, except add to Kraftwerk stuff like Tangerine Dream, obligatory Jarre, Oldfield, Vangelis etc. Later I started to slowly get into demoscene music, which was made by people influenced by contemporary dance and techno, but also being raised on chiptune melodies. It's cool and good that after initial surge of synthwave imitating Moroder we have a whole palette of melodic synth muzak. I'm not personally a fan of Perturbator's new sound (kinda hoped he would go back to Night Driving Avenger/Nocturne City-era), but I love Dynatron's epic sci-fi soundtrack feel, Lachi James AOR style or Dan Terminus' bizzareness. Now I'm listening to ActRazer's "Classics" and it's so drat good.

Apparently whoever is in charge of Blood Music decided to release it a little earlier to prevent leaks from earlier timezones. So now I gotta wait for my package from Finland, that digibook posted on FB looks sweet. Listened to the first half and gotta say it's way more interesting and involving than Dangerous Days. Less Carpenter Brut-ish "brutality", more melodies.

Just yesterday I've discovered Damokles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zK4_MDtCizE The track above sounds a tiiiny bit like Kombi (I doubt he heard of them, being a band from behind the iron courtain), but the whole album has tracks that sound nearly like tributes to OMD. The only stinker is the Star Gazer, which has really bad vocal work. https://future80s.bandcamp.com/album/ozone-surfing Also, Echosoft's self-titled EP is really nice if not groundbreaking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEdPN7hMX3Q https://futurecityrecords.bandcamp.com/album/echosoft-ep And I really hope there will be more of this project: https://soundcloud.com/leather-predator
