Reply all pops up every day, or every few days. I don't know who regularly posts it though. Brooke makes no sense and repeatedly commits offenses against the art of storytelling. Raine Dog was exactly what it looked like.

Who even does the colouring? The authors frequently seem to have no input (as shown by the number of cartoons we see where the colourist has hosed up the joke). Is it some random at the syndicate getting the inks?

Tiggum posted:I just cannot figure out what's going on in this comic. The boy on the left is trying to convince the boy on the right to take his shoes off and go barefoot. The boy in the middle is refusing because the third child, his little brother, will tell their parents and get him in trouble. The small child lacks belt or braces and is requesting a pin to hold his trousers up with. The dawg is interested in the tree, or its contents.

Comic New York is probably subjected to so many localised sonic booms that Reed Richards has built special dampening systems into the road surface so that it doesn't even mess people's hair.

Mr. Squishy posted:It used to be a gag-a-day strip set in high-school or college and they all hung out at Funky's pizza palace. Then Batuik got a bee in his bonnet and set out to prove that newspaper strips can handle the serious issues. He did a time-jump, and now each story-line handles some tragedy or illness in a really heavy-handed way. The closest we get to humour is grim puns, or the occasional Sunday strip dedicated to the golden-age of comics. Don't forget Crankshaft, that has repeatedly flashed forwards and shown its main character as a barely mobile old man in a home with dementia.

No, I think that's actually coherent. The mother-in-law has discovered the pause button on her tv remote, and so phonecalls no longer have to be cut short due to her programmes starting. It is a classic "I wish I didn't have to talk to my mother-in-law" joke.
