I've been binge reading this all evening and I'm currently on volume 3, chapter 13. I felt the first battle was kind of cliche and the second battle just confused me. Did Nagate pass out at a crucial moment while piloting his mecha? After that though I feel like it picked up. I wish the author did multiple points of view from different characters on different ships rather than the lone Sidonia. It would have been fascinating to see the different cultures and innovations different ships had come up with. I hope that at some point Sidonia makes contact with another ship.

I can understand that view. I think I've become accustomed to the story telling style of George R. R. Martin. Seriously though, could someone tell me What happened during the 2nd Gauna battle that made everyone pissed at Nigate? Also how is Lala Flying a mecha with one bear claw and one crane arcade came claw?

Algid posted:Kunato told him to shoot on a private radio channel ahead of time, this messed up the timing for everyone else and people got killed. How did you figure that out from the panels? I couldn't figure out at all specifically what he did wrong.
