I just started watching this in on Netflix - only having ever caught a random episode here or there as a kid. I was talking about it in the blu thread in CineD because of those caps mentioned above and it's funny to come here and see that "Home" is one of the most memorable episodes. It was the one that stuck with me since I viewed it when it first aired at my buddies since he loved X-files and we both loved aliens in general. Whenever I told my friends about X-files I would mention the mutants loving their mom and how it's pretty much the most craziest thing to air on a regular tv show.

I just finished the green bugs episode though - I never watched a full season and I am marathoning the crap out of this show (about 3 to 4 episodes a night) - and this show is loving perfect. There has been some dull episodes that I fell asleep in (that Space one comes to mind) but everything else has been great. I also enjoy the MotW episodes a bit more - a nice self contained mystery. The werewolf episode seemed familiar, so I must have watched bits of it too - its' a funny feeling getting those "tingles" that I watched this once and only being vaguely familiar with it.

I will say, this show had some loving BALLS - like seriously, a loving WEREWOLF? Clones that eventually take over their older clones? A fricking ghost who beats up people that wronged a secretary (and trying to expose a company)?? I know it can only get more crazy from here.

It's funny because the show feels way more like a cop show in season 1, so whenever Mulder goes "I think it's a ghost" it always feels NUTS.

While I am sure it happens a lot I laughed my rear end off when in the Eve episode Mulder was like, 'DE FUKKEN ALIENS ARE SUCKING THE BLOOD' immediately and it's like no... just clones idiot!

This arc of the former FBI agent taking hostages is INTENSE! Holy poo poo. I did a loving little fist pump when Skinner was like - WE NEED TO REOPEN THE XFILES! - just before that scene I was thinking, gently caress YOU Skinner - loving over Mulder cause you're scared. But wow, what a way to end that 2nd episode in the arc. I can only imagine what people thought back when it first aired. Such a good episode!

Oh, apparently SATAN exists in this universe? Or is it a SATANIC ALIEN. Holy poo poo this episode was insane - "Die Hand Die Verletzt". It sure was something to watch before bed. I am surprised it didn't feature Scully freaking the gently caress out since she really holds onto her beliefs.

David Duchovny on 'The X-Files' revival: 'It's looking very good'

David Duchovny has given an update on the planned revival of The X-Files.

The cult sci-fi show originally aired on US network Fox for nine seasons between 1993 and 2002 and also spawned a pair of spin-off films, released in 1998 and 2008. Fox revealed last month (January) that it has had "conversations" about reviving the much-loved series. The potential new season would feature the show's iconic lead duo, Duchovny's Fox Mulder and Gillian Anderson's Dana Scully, as well as input from The X-Files' creator Chris Carter.

During an appearance on US daytime show The Talk yesterday (February 17), Duchovny was asked if the revival is definitely happening. "It looks good," he replied. "It looks very good. I can't say for sure, but it looks better than it did two weeks ago."

Duchovny had previously confirmed that he is keen to return to The X-Files, but for a "limited" run of episodes as opposed to a full season.

Meanwhile, during an interview last month (January) Anderson said she would be "loving overjoyed" if Fox brought back The X-Files, and urged fans to tweet at the network to show their support for the revival. Anderson was recently seen in series two of BBC2's The Fall and also has a key supporting role on NBC's Hannibal, while Duchovny will soon be seen starring in upcoming US crime drama series Aquarius.

Fox has also revealed that another of its most popular shows, 24, could be returning without star Kiefer Sutherland.

Jesus that Brady Bunch poo poo was trite. Hmm, you killed 2 mother fuckers. Ah what the hell, not your fault, lets smile at you!!

Ughh, cant wait to finish this season.

Still, X-files owns so hard and is basically perfect up until Doggett (Robert Patrick is still cool but that was some poo poo tier writing for the most part). Release was probably my favorite episode this season.

Well that was a poo poo series finale. But hey, it was good to see Mulder again.

Now for the next movie... which I hear was not good at all.

Should we really be excited for a new season? I was at first but not so much based on the past 2 seasons.

Anyone saying this was awful clearly never watched a lot of the Doggett and Reyes years. While they had a few decent episodes it was mostly poo poo. The worst Mulder and Scully is leap years ahead of that poo poo.

I like where they are going tho and this totally felt like the original series. Music, camera, acting etc. - it's amazing.

Also why didn't anyone take down Mulders pencils?? :3:

No it wasn't. The brilliance of Arrested Development was the interaction between the entire family and how all of their escapades intertwined. You can make the case that making each episode only featuring 1 or 2 characters in a timeline that is concurrent is a meta thing along that same line, but each individual episode loses that magic. Yes it was due to work schedules, but maybe that means it shouldn't have been done if it wasn't important enough for the cast to all be available at the same time.

It was so loving terrible. I had to go back and re-watch the first season to see how it "really was" and goddamn, I laughed harder in the first episode than I did the entire time in the new season. Plus Ron Howard just didnt shut the gently caress up and talked the entire time.

This was loving terrible trash and further enforces how bad season 7-9 got. Chris Carter can gently caress off and I hope the show and characters just gently caress off for god. 1 good episode and the rest mediocre poo poo. Like that old joke from Eddie Murphy where saltine crackers are the best goddamn thing after not eating for a while.

"Whoa, X-Files is BACK! Here goes the first episode...." *ffwd* "Well..... it was ok, I missed it, so thats all good - cant wait for more tho!!!"

"Ok, that was better - I LOVE MoTW and that guy exploding was sick"

"HOLY poo poo AMAZING - Love Darin Morgan!"

"Trash monster is cool.... this really didnt go anywhere"

"What the gently caress..."

"gently caress OFF!"

I dont know where i'm going with this but gently caress this show. At least we got the first 6 seasons which were goddamn amazing for the most part.
