Meldonox posted:Cripes, I called every Walmart in town and each of them either say they can't do the nerd plan or don't have the activation kits necessary for it. Every T-Mo store I call says I have to get a phone with it and they have to do the non-nerd-plan activation in the store. The one time I try to buy something from a brick and mortar I'm going to have to buy the activation kit online anyway. PM me your address and I can send you a micro or nano kit for a buck (to cover stamps)

Otm Shank posted:Just got my unlocked moto x that came with a T mobile sim already installed. I'm trying to activate it online for the nerd plan but I need an "activation code" that comes with prepaid phones which I'm pretty sure I don't have... ilkhan posted:correct. SIM/Activation kits include the code, or you can grab a cheap prepaid phone at retail and use that activation code. I have one sim activation kit left (i got 2 nano and 2 micro a while back when they were free), that I can PM you the code when I get home tonight, if you haven't already figured it out.

Brock Landers posted:Not a whole lot has changed. For streaming: this. Portland to Salem you'll be fine, the coverage is at least hspa if not LTE. Salem to Albany(my commute daily), you hit edge. As long as your streaming app caches enough before then, you'd never notice. Albany to Eugene, mostly the same story, maybe some better hits of hspa or LTE from west Albany (my side of the interstate seems like its getting speed improvements lately, but can still be quite slow.) Eugene on south I can't really say (yet) but it'll probably suck between Eugene and Roseburg, and then roseburg to grants pass or Medford.
