Okay, so I have decent camera (Nikon CoolPix P500) and a 6ft tripod. For over a year I have been taking pictures, both casually and attempting something that is 'professional' looking. I put a select group of pictures in one album here: http://imgur.com/a/nvN00 There are some random pics of my cats but for the most part most of the pictures are my attempt at trying to do something nice. What I am wondering is what I have done right, wrong, and what I can do to improve my photography. Such as, which settings are appropriate for which situations? Is it always appropriate to use the max pixel frame? How do I use aperture priority loose-hand? Thanks.

Yeah, you're a cool dude. Thanks for not actually helping me out in any way. You mention there are other threads that I could post my questions in but you don't even bother to link them for me. Yeah, maybe my questions were dumb, but from my glance through the forum I didn't see a thread that seemed appropriate to post what I did. Thanks for being an rear end in a top hat and not being productive in any way. You don't deserve the title of mod if this is how you treat people.

I opened the link, saw that there were 122 images, and then promptly said to myself "yes I will spend the next hour looking at each one and deciding what worked and what didn't work when I can't even know what setting they used, what they were trying to accomplish, or wait why are there 20 versions of the same picture what the gently caress" e. nikon sucks qtiyd

Yeah I wasn't really expecting anyone to analyse everything. I just thought maybe something would stick out for someone and they would have a comment on it and what I did right, wrong, or could do better. That's all.
