I just ordered two butane torches. They have a little switch on them that keeps the flame on after you've let go of the igniter. This is a massive disaster waiting to happen.

Got my butane torches in the mail on Friday. These $2.50 lighters are easier to fill and more reliable than my $45 Vector torch Still waiting for one to explode in my hands though.

Anyone have experience dealing with DX when your package gets lost in transit? They split my order into two and the one that shipped second arrived and the tracking # had updates, but the one that shipped first is mia. I fear my "Humping Dog USB Flashdrive" may be lost at sea...

This is pretty much how DX operates, your best bet is to COMPLETELY forget you ever ordered from them, once that is done your package should arrive a day or two later, usually with more stuff than you ordered.

Does anyone know how long it takes to ship to Australia? I ordered 2 things - one was shipped on the 27th of October, and the other the 2nd of November... still waiting I knew they had long lead times and shipping times, but I wasn't quite expecting this long. Especially considering it took a few weeks to even ship.

That would be all good, but I ordered replacement batteries to repair my PS3 controllers that both simultaneously died. It wasn't until after I ordered I found I could buy them off ebay for the same price... and get them in a couple of days. But along the lines of what Rysithusiku was saying if I order more off ebay I know they will immediately show up from DealExtreme. C'est la vie DealExtreme... lesson learnt

When I buy from DX, I always add a google calendar note a few months down the line. However, I've gotten items from them within a week before. Don't have your orders be too large, or one item might delay everything. At the very least, check if there are any items that have longer "ships within" times, because those are the things they don't have on hand. Hey has anyone tried these butane soldering irons? http://www.dx.com/p/cordless-butane-gas-soldering-welding-iron-tool-blue-56913#.VJFy3nvvaiw Do they work?

Holy poo poo, when my niece was a baby my brother bought her some disturbing plush cell phone from some Asian market that made the exact same type of sounds. Perhaps just as disturbing as the sounds it made is the fact that I'm the only person that remembers its existence

I got this, thinking it was the true Amusing Duck, but it is actually a knockoff of Amusing Duck, simply titled "THE DUCK" in formidable caps on the box. Instead of the fun melody you've heard with the true Amusing Duck, it instead plays a cacophony of garbled warbling that's vaguely musical.

Yeah, that song the new duck plays is used in a bunch of random spinning toys lately. My housemate has a spinning tiger head that shines lights everywhere and plays that song.

It turns out 3+ months is not the usual shipping time - it's meant to be 2-3 weeks... the online live chat help was really good and refunded one of the items that had sold out, and resent the other one with a tracking number I just wish I hadn't waited so long to contact them *sigh*
