Only reason to do that is if they wanted some experience in trying to win a game but all it meant is that they now think they can't. Still shouldn't have come to that if they had scored the try five minutes earlier. on the upside, France failed to put away a pretty lacklustre Scotland side at home, so Ireland don't have much to worry about.

Due to Zebre lacking 9 of their first team players for international duty, Cardiff have managed to start the season with a good result, running in 11 tries. Final result 61--13, even after missing 8 of the conversions and the single penalty kick at goal. This is our year boys, just need to hope the World Cup lasts all season, right? Who do you think is getting called up to replace Webb and Halfpenny? Probably Mike Phillips for Webb, but who for Halfpenny? Replace him with a 3rd hooker after all?

Id be happier if they were used for working out best replacements rather than first team who should be sorted by that point anyway. Is there any news on Halfpenny?
