as if a blackberry user would ever be holding a phone to their head instead of using a headset like a POWER USER

pretty sure that the first blackberry which could make calls only let you do it via headset

Talked to a guy using a Passport for work. He was dual-wielding it with his iPhone, because he "could edit Office documents on it and you can't beat having a keyboard for emails"

To be real here: if having a hardware keyboard was so incredibly desirable and productivity-enhancing, why hasn't there been an Android phone as of late with it as a starring feature, to clean up on the "serious business" market?

if only blackberry made bb messenger cross platform 5 years ago they could have been bought by facebook for significantly more than their present market cap

they could have used them to make their stupid failed facebook phone too

they also could have just bought kik messenger instead of trying to sue it out of existence for copying such highly patented features of BBM such as 'delivered' and 'read' statuses on messages but welp

the "pager" models were shortlived and nobody remembers them. they re-did the hardware and re-wrote the software from scratch in a few years later.

in 2002 the main product was a multitasking smartphone with 2G internet, that used java for 100% of development, both system and applications. they were way the gently caress ahead of their time, and squandered it all

Reminder: their first device that supported phone calls would only do so with a headset.
