Yeah I don't want to gush but I have to show my appreciation; this and the previous two adventures are the hardest I've laughed at anything on the internet for a long long time, and it's the first media I've ever consumed where I would bust out in giggle fits days afterwards just remembering one scene or turn of phrase. Exceptionally well done comedy.

Atma I just want to say you're a genius with this poo poo and I always enjoy seeing your pixel art and stories. How long does each piece take because these are pretty intricate.

Also I'm still giddy you used one of my commands even though it was a banal one :woop:

These have been wonderful every time they pop up. Pixel art is the best art. Especially since you somehow managed to convey Johnny.

This trilogy had had me laughing more consistently than almost any others, so bravo Atma! I didn't chime in with any suggestions because end times was the first one I had read- but after backtracking it all comes together much more beautifully, albeit covered in blood, piss, poo poo, and semen.

These are so loving awesome thanks for taking the time to do them. I know you answered this in another thread but I forget. What did you use to do this with? I've been secretly toying with the idea of doing one myself for a while now but finding the time to devote to it is a problem.

All three of these CYOA's were amazing all the way through, I really appreciate you putting in the work so a bunch of internet guys could get a cheap laugh.

Thank you, I'm looking forward to any future CYOA's you might do- the one's you've done so far are without a doubt among the best that ever were.

It is more work, but mostly it's me trying to figure out how each action should resolve in a way that will still make sense to the story. The open one was a lot less 'stressful' because there really was no end goal.

quote:

What did you use to do this with?
Adobe Illustrator for the panels, Photoshop for the animations

It depends on the amount of detail. I've never timed myself but I would say 15 minutes per easy panel if I have to make some new objects. If I have to make everything from scratch at least 20-30 minutes probably. The longest one was probably the panel with the fortress in the background. I'm not really an artist, so I don't do things super fast - but I have gotten better at it since the first one.

One thing that takes a lot of time is actually the file management. I had to split this one into 4 illustrator files because they get so big that my PC does not have enough memory to allow me to work with them. I try and keep backups of every panel in case of backtracking (which happens a lot) so the artboards are all over the place and scrolling around is sometimes slow.

They weren't supposed to be at all. I accidentally made the female angel look a little too close to bob's wife.

I probably have the base .fla files on a spare HDD, but I'm too tired to look for them right now. lovely thing is that Microwave said that he lost some of those base files (because he overwrote some of them) and they are not in order.

I actually have all the images from that thread on my hard drive somewhere, in order as well. I'll see if I can find them.

That was one of my fondest forum memories, even if it lacked the sheer insanity of the Atma trilogy.
