 Apart from Eva Green's entertainingly over the top baddie, I found this really dull and lifeless. The Athenians are all pretty genetic and bland. None of the dialogue is as quotable as the first movie (e.g. "This...is...SPARTA"). The visuals aren't as striking as 300 either, partially because they've subsequently cropped up in other movies and partially because the direction is not as good this time round.
