Did I miss any other anachronisms to that point of the book? It becomes a minor point later on, but it's not explained how the "Trapezoid" becomes the "Pentagon", but it is mentioned. Once they start mucking around and changing strands, I don't think the characters have any real way to say what was original or changed, by themselves or any "opposition".
