There's no need to land it, deal with the passengers (presumably by killing them), re-load it with explosives and take off again with everybody looking out for a rogue airliner. I suppose it's possible, but it seems like an awful lot of trouble for something that could have been done with the airliner full of fuel not long after takeoff from Kuala Lumpur. Well if you want to load it up with a nuke and detonate it over a city wouldn't that be more effective than taking out a single building?
