Here's a theory thought up by a Danish engineer, Poul-Henning Kamp. http://ing.dk/blog/smarte-flykaprere-167056 You may know him from the D-Link-NTP fiasco: http://web.archive.org/web/20060409135145/http://people.freebsd.org/~phk/dlink/ Short summary: The plane had parts bound for Iran and their nuclear reactor, the plane went undetected because flight controllers don't investigate planes coming from unregulated airspace (the middle of the ocean) too closely, and it's sitting in some hangar in Kyrgystan while the parts were driven over land to Iran.

It's all well and good to talk about electrical fires shorting out the communication systems and what have you, but no one has yet explained WHY the electrical system would short out. Until now. Observe: The co-pilot wanted to play a prank on the captain and brought an electric fan on board. As we all know asian people are TERRIFIED of electric fans, so when the co-pilot turned it on, the captain panicked and pissed all over the fan. Result: Electric short. How's THAT for an episode of Air Disaster?!

"Malaysian three seven zero" is the call sign. It's SOP to include it in every communication

Guys, I found out what happened to the plane! There were three scientists on board, that together had built The Ultimate Weapon (tm). The Future took them out of time to put them on trial for the crime of destroying Earth. In the Future. The sentence was to remain indefintely frozen in time for all eternity. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054881/reference (Seriously, it's eerie how this movie lines up with MH370 - the ground loses contact with the plane, four hours after their arrival-time goes by, they're declared lost and then a massive, unprecedented search gets underway). Just saw it on Netflix US, it's an easy 1 hour and 10 minutes! http://www.netflix.com/WiMovie/The_Flight_That_Disappeared/70147182
