So I guess we're gearing up for #200. Anyone have any good theories about the "big twist" this time? Fan speculation is laying odds that Chitoge and Onodera (and possibly Tsugumi too) will find out that they all have the hots for Raku. Then everybody dithers and blushes for 50 chapters while Raku stands around with a question mark over his head. I personally kinda think that Yui might learn about Raku's worries and will do something (with the locket, maybe) to spur him on. Then Raku dithers and blushes for 50 chapters while everybody else stands around with a question mark over their heads. The possibilities are endless!

Yeah, I've been re-skimming the series and agree that, without some sort of swerve, Onodera is arc'ed out as a character. She and Raku nearly had a mutual confession back in chapter 5 or some poo poo, and no amount of "well gee I'm still having fun and everything is fine right now so no need to rush things" reinforcement will account for the TWO YEARS they've been hedging around it since then. Recently I've been wondering where this series can lead without completely destroying somebody. Whether he deserves it or not, Raku is the object of great devotion for both Onodera and Chitoge (and Marika and Tsugumi and Minidera and and and), and either we go Full Harem (which I can't imagine Onodera would be okay with) or one of 'em is gonna be devastated. Seems kinda bleak for my funny blush porn.

I guess I just hope for a satisfying ending for Onodera. She really doesn't deserve to be shat upon, since her only sin is being shy and indecisive. Also if Raku starts dating Chitoge without resolving the Onodera plot, Ruri will probably kill the entire cast with a tire iron.

Weeeell ... Tsugumi may be best girl but this is perfectly in line with her personality, so ehh, I guess. Just one more heart to break now. The whole revelation came at an incredibly breakneck pace for Nisekoi though. Before it would have taken her thirty chapters to decide that Chitoge's smile meant something, ten chapters to build up the courage to ask her, and five more to do the silent confession thing. Komi must be sick of all this fumfering around and is ready to light this candle.

As an Onodera fan, I still, still cling to the tiniest of chances here, for two stupid reasons: 1. Raku's mom pretty much said in her musings that Chitoge isn't the promise girl, and a satisfying narrative end would have Raku confess to someone, open the locket, and the rings (or whatever) inside would be for that particular girl because *~faaaate~*. Raku confessing to Chitoge and then opening the locket to find a ring for Onodera would be beyond awkward. 2. Shuu's "who would you like to share these cute happy things with" test. Somehow I don't see Raku thinking of Chitoge, the girl he's squabbled with for three years, over Onodera, the sweet girl who just last chapter said she'd never leave him. On the other hand: a different satisfying narrative ending would have Raku pitch his locket and all the keys into the ocean and then confess to whoever he wants, because gently caress you five-year-old me. In which case, never mind.

Well, remember Raku has totally eschewed the Yakuza stuff from the beginning and has never been a tough guy. There's a reason Chitoge calls him "beansprout." Still, Raku supposedly has this hot-headed streak which causes him to fling himself into danger without a second thought. Unfortunately we haven't seen him actually DO this since Marika left.
