Playing without effects is for people that just want to spend time playing their instrument instead of farting around with electronics. I spent like two hours yesterday deciding if an octave multiplier should go before or after a fuzz, finally decided on compressor > tube screamer > octave multiplier > rat, then played the riff from "No Time Left For You" for like 20 minutes Also, agreeing with Agreed about pups, the coolest thing is a pickup truck with a litter of pups in the back, you get that rumbling V8 TONE with a bit of squeal, that's just how I roll
