van Wolfswinkel? He's looked awful whenever I've seen him and he cost £8.5m.

That Cornelius transfer is something else though.

Arsenal are always "right there". It's always one big transfer away, one player back from injury, etc. It's not going to happen with such a weak mentality in the team no matter what.
This year they could've had a decent tilt at the title with a manager who isn't a repeating joke. The mental weakness comes from him.

The problem is that a manager of his seniority is probably entirely responsible for selecting transfers, scheduling training, everything important in the football side and it's clear from Arsenal's long and hilarious injury history and transfer dealings that he just isn't good enough at those jobs. The total bottle job that they do at every possible opportunity is entirely due to him and his management decisions.

He probably should have gone a couple of seasons ago. The most passionate Arsenal fan I know has only this season starting talking about him going; more than anything else he's just disappointed with how this period of relative mediocrity flavours Wenger's entire management reign because what he has done for the club is incredible.

but Moyes hadn't seem him play and wasn't interested :negative:

The idea of Moyes walking in and having final say on transfers is loving hilarious.

You're insane. He's probably the best manager in the world

He's a drug-taking cheat, mentally weak, and his 'brand' of football is tedious and overrated

100k a week for a left back that'll be there for 10+ years is a bargin really

It's not 100k for 10 year though, because he'll want a new contract in three years with an increase in pay, then the same again, then you're either giving him 200k or he's going on a bosman to whoever want to pay him that.

£30m for any player is not a bargain, especially not an 18 year old left back.
