A poor person dying from an easily preventable condition isn't a tragedy, it's justice. No one has a fundamental right to exist, and for anyone (especially the poor and weak) to exist comfortably is an atrocity. These are the axioms that modern American politics are built upon. That's why the McDonald's loop makes perfect sense.
