Ok it looked wonderful and the combining sequence was ace but goddamn this is the most ANIMU storytelling I've seen in a longggggggg time. Dead hero dad, mysterious magical girl with magical pet, mysterious childhood friend, look at my rad boomerang, look at my random cyber gun, you are the chosen one here's your robot etc etc etc. Almost couldn't handle it but i'll watch another ep or two
