If you don't watch the post-match comments, you're missing story. The storylines are also generally a little more subtle, but are much more effective. They got a loving arena to explode in cheers because Okada wasn't wearing pants. Complaining that AEW doesn't have any storylines before their first show seems very bad faith to me. Also, they do have built storylines, but you have to watch BTE and RtDoN. I've really been enjoying the build, personally.
