Personally, I don't think KnB has the same goofiness as Haikyuu, but it does some have some interesting characters. I found that it dragged on too much (I watched season 1 and the first couple episodes of season 2), and I'd get bored with the matches half way through. That's one thing I like about Haikyuu, they don't show you every goddamn point they make in the game. I couldn't keep up with the characters either, there were way too many. I am more interested in volleyball than basketball, so I might be biased too. That said, I do find myself going back and reading chapters of the manga here and there because I find some of the stories interesting! Give it a shot, it does have some funny moments and characters.
