 I got into hockey during the Roy/Sakic/Forsberg/Hejduk era and the Avs' cup winning runs. I distinctly remember my Swedish family being very pro-Avs until they started getting too deep into the playoff around some international competition (World Cup? Olympics?) and they wanted Fo-pa. Anyway, I sorta stopped paying attention to hockey right around the lock out.

So what the gently caress is up with the Avs this year anyway?
