Another tip for quickly coming up with random Fantasy/Sci-Fi/exotic sounding names for NPCs.

Take any book, and point to a random spot in the middle of a page, take the two consecutive words closest to where you're pointing and combine the last syllable of the first word with the first syllable of the second. Most of the time you'll get a name that is pronounceable but still sounds unfamiliar.
