It is 3D, and has physics. That is literally the only thing it has over something like Vassal right now.

They will never implement rule enforcing, which is the only place left to go. That is a thing decade old board and card game systems haven't been able to do, because trying to implement rule systems that can encompass thousands of different games is just way out of scope for anyone who isn't a big studio.
