google play music station laun wait... is it working? is it on now? no? how about now? okay? okay gogggle play music station launches in canada for the people who've never heard of slacker radio or pandora or tunein or fileserv or five hundred other ways to get music and not pay ten dollars a month for hte privilege because the best way to sell streaming audio is to show you can't play a video at your launch presser

and if you click through things you can actually see what features were intended to be there when the ui was first conceived and which ones were bolted on later when some poor fucker was asked to drop what he was doing and add a neat gizmo it's a seriously unenviable job that's hard to do well even if you are allowed to infringe on the patent for a button that does a thing when you click it

google glass makes me think of the local computer store in everytown, usa, that started out as a little place that didn't advertise much, had the best prices on things, some neat computer related things, maybe a few games on the wall, a clerk who could have a civilized human conversation then they started bringing in pink kittycat cases and boob mouse pads and they hired fifty college students to stand around and play quake then the next thing you know they're on the radio every ten minutes selling phones and rice cookers and loving toasters and six months later the place is closed because they ran out of money trying to hock stupid bullshit instead of just selling loving computers

was mainly for people streaming pc games for various reasons (fraps+youtube sucks, transcoding yourself sucks, watching in raeltime helps teamwork) that youtube didn't allow because video games are art and tehrefore copyright violation, unlikely fully 80% of youtube's other illegal content which is a-okay cause it gets them paid

if you don't agree to the terms of use you aren't allowed to use the product so why is this bad now? can't the indie label just tell youtube's nonexistent service to go gently caress itself and make a pandora channel or whatever the cool kids are using these days? or just put the videos up on the regular youtube anyway right next all the other technically-against-the-tos content?
