It's pretty bad. I would recommend only watching it with friends who you can make fun of it with.

I think you guys are reading too hard into what might have just been a bad translation of the Japanese. It's a bit hard to judge whether it's the writer or the translator's fault unless you've read the original or asked someone who has. I'm not sure if that translation is fan or official, but basically 90% of LN fan translations (and 99% of the ones on baka-tsuki) are pretty much trash.
