I, NTRabbit, oath for May 2014, opening round of Season 5, to paint 1 Wave Serpent for 40k by GW (28mm) 2 Plague Hounds, 1 Plague Stage 2A, 1 Marauder Commando, 1 Marauder Commando Sergeant, 1 Marauder Goblin Sniper and 1 Marauder Mawbeast Bomber for Deadzone by Mantic (28mm)  I'll Jurnal something, not decided which one yet. The Marauders are all part of the same strike team, so hopefully 4 figures is enough for a themed group Also, speed painting this Plague Hound  readysetgo!

While we're answering questions, is the only difference between a diorama and a display board the size? As in, diorama is a display board for 1 to a few minis, and a display board is for a whole army?

I'm planning to make a diorama featuring the Dystopian Wars French fleet I've been picking up at the discount table the last 6 months, just short a couple units, some terrain bits, a way to make 1:1200 scale shoreline/harbor and a big bit of MDF to get started. Gotta paint all them ships, airships and maybe tanks in the next 11 months. I think I should trawl the Terrain Megathread for ideas... Also I think I should finish my Wave Serpent tomorrow before time gets away from me

I, NTRabbit, Oath to paint for June Season 5 Dystopian Wars by Spartan Games (1:1200) 4x Arbalete Medium Land Carriers 4x Marteau 'ACA-8' class Bombards 4x Focault 'R-6' class Medium Tanks 4x L'Arman 'Char 1C' class Heavy Tanks Deadzone by Mantic (28mm) 2x Marauder Ripper Suits 2x Marauder Goblin Guntracks with dual weapons 2x Marauder Goblin Ammo Carriers 1x Marauder Hulk 40k by GW (28mm) 5x Striking Scorpions 1x Striking Scorpion Exarch  Journal is something I was already doing anyway, should get another couple theme groups out of this. It's a lot to do, but I'm not going to get a month this light again this year (hopefully, because I really don't want to still be unemployed in 3 months), so piling on a decent size. Also, the Dystopian Wars stuff is going to go on my diorama - I don't have everything I need for the diorama yet and honestly can't afford a couple of the largest bits still, so I'm going to progressively oath the minis I already have going on it this season and then special oath the actual board and terrain itself when I get them.

In my rush I missed two paints for my parts list, that I used on the still drying Striking Scorpion hair - VMC Green Grey and VGC Scorpion Green. Also I'll take a better picture later, but the GITD theme continues with just the chainsword teeth, pistols and orange eyes glowing, for that Scorpion strike from the shadows look. Plus my Scorpions are a themed group, my Marauders are a themed group and the Dystopian Wars tanks are a themed group, can I claim 3 themed groups in one oath?

I, NTRabbit, oath to paint for July
 Unemployed people get more spare time to paint. Another two themed groups, and hopefully the fact it's an ongoing theme for my army since I started oathing last year doesn't make my Journal busting support weapon less original. Still, got some KS stuff coming I might be able to use to make it extra special. Multiple colours trigger warning - one base is greenstuffed but not painted, the black ones have neither. The blue on the tesla cannon is blue perspex that comes with the MDF kit, not paint.

 OATH COMPLETEUnder the wire again, but here we go    Themed Group #1  Themed Group #2 on some really lovely flight stands that I'm going to replace with corsec magnetic ones asap  Backstory A pool of blood sat below the barricade, slowly leaking into a drain in the middle of a city street, splashes of blood covering the concrete above it. A snarling sound emanated from behind it, as though whatever had been responsible had been waiting for another victim to come along. As Tom Kirby realised that the shape sitting in the blood was an Ultramarine head, the thought may have occurred to someone else that it was too late - but not Tom. "It's not as bad as it looks!" beamed Tom, as the Plague 2nd Gen leaped up over the Barricade, sinking its claws into Kirby as it roared "MANTIC!", not at all alluding to any real life occurences. This is my Journal for the month - who needs OSL when you glow in the dark?

I, NTRabbit, more sanely oath to paint for September
 The journal is going to be the Eldar, as you can see here  I have two standard Guardian torsos and legs, but I'll be arming them with weapons from the Dire Avenger sprue, and their heads are from the War Walker sprue, shown for comparison are a regular Guardian weapon (top) and a regular unhelmeted Guardian head (right). The pistol going in the right arm has been cut to fit, and the fingers on the left arm cut and bent to more closley grip the other pistol. Likewise the left arm that will hold the diresword, paired with the avenger shuriken catapult. These guys are unbased, and going in the back of wave serpents as a tiny diorama. Going for themed group for the ships and I rolled a 6! for the markers as well. The markers are unprimed MDF with red acrylic inserts.

OATH COMPLETE  Boomstick  Mortar Team Nexus Psi strain Plague team is almost complete  I rolled a 6 Objective Markers, going for a Necron-cum-Tron theme there   Themed Group French Frigates and Corvettes, the fleet grows!   Journal The custom crew chiefs made from Guardian bodies, War Walker heads and Dire Avenger weapons, they go unbased in the back of wave serpents. I even tried some blended NMM on the sword! I think it worked
