Did anyone watch this Tenshin match with ex-K1er Koji? Tenshin winning was not surprising at all but Koji took a ton of hard shots to the head but would not go down. Like 3 or 4 knees directly to the face. Oh also apparently Tenshin is quitting kickboxing to go full time boxing. LAME. Didn’t even get a fight with Takeru.

K-1 is on right now. Takeru fights last in a couple hours. Just now a young Japanese dude knocked out a grizzled Thai vet. I don’t fully understand these match ups. Is it like this Thai guy’s too old to compete in Thailand any more so he goes to Japan for the money to face shithead upstarts who have thrown less punches in their career than he’s taken to the face?

Found out from the Rizin buildup that Tenshin is planning on retiring to focus on boxing? His 'exhibition' with Gomi looked exactly like whenever I see kickboxing people spar boxing only rules. The spacing, the missing kicks in combos, the lack of punctuating with hard punches -- I'm really surprised he wants to do this. Why spend so much time rebuilding his skillset?

I guess because it’s actually a challenge for him. Although I wonder what would happen if he went to Thailand and did proper Muay Thai. Became a stadium champion, took a thousand elbows to the head. Not enough money in that I guess
