try Nerf ArenaBlast

A multiplayer FPS that mixes real world weapons with toy guns (squirt guns, nerf guns etc.) as well as sci-fi/fantasy based weapons. It's a party game where weapon selection and gametype is randomized each round (i.e. you play a counter-strike style match where everybody uses real-world pistols, the next map everybody has one-hit-kill rubber band guns, after that it's only weapons are from the "launcher" class but everyone has buffed health and shields, etc.) Take it a step further and have graphic style change between rounds (Cel shaded, gritty realism, Minecraft-like low poly models, etc. etc.)

Biscuit Hider
An expansionist action rpg where you're a kid building a fort in the forest with a couple of pals. You go around collecting resources to make your fort better and more resilient to raids, fighting off other forts' agents and whatever else that wants to gently caress your day up. You make war with other forts and fight for territory, eventually gaining control of other forts. You let your old forts behind to build up the new ones, and it gives you a steady income of resources, like as if completed territories in ActRaiser got you paid.

There's also a winter campaign where you build snow forts instead.

Style: like a defence game.
2 games:
1. China coming through korea and we ran out of bullets while they still came but you can clear rounds, upgrade and get more guns.
2. Same thing but with 2 white people hiding behind rocks shooting revolvers at native americans running at them.

a tactics game where you are a necromancer, and rather than recruiting units, you build them using the parts from slain foes

youd always be able to recruit skellies but theyre garbage. zombies can be made from corpses from foes but they're one life only and cannot heal normally. instead you'd be spying over the enemy force and be like whoa that guy has Beefy Arms which give him +3 Strength and ability to use Big Axes and youd kill him in a manner to preserve his arms and then youd take his arms and stick them on some zombie youve got so now he's beefy as poo poo, and when he breaks down you cut off the precious arms and stick them on another dude. and since gently caress man you like those arms lets graft metal plates on them which slows down the zombie but toughens up those arms

eventually youve got some hulkin frankenfucker that you love and them he catches on fire and burns away and you shakes your fists at your screen because that was total bullshit now i have to go abduct some peasants again or some poo poo ugh

also its set in 1920's america and you are a mob boss out to take control of the lands speakeasies via your dread necromancy and poo poo

A game where you're hired to ruin people's lives by placing them in bad situations or harassing them until they are broken or commit suicide. More points for more heartless tactics and more subtle attacks on their psyche (Ex: repeated harassing phones calls are worth far less than making the target think their spouse is being unfaithful when she's not and getting them to fight.)

A game that looks visually similar to the sims with an overhead perspective and ui. as the house occupants move around in their house going about their lives, you have to wait until one of them enters an isolated area with no witnesses so you can remove them from the game (no hint is given as to their fate) and replace them with an exact duplicate that you have direct control over. then you move the duplicate around so as to keep its housemates in the dark while at the same time engineering situations that allow you to swap out everyone else. pausing and command queueing allows you to juggle multiple duplicates in this way.

the goal is to successfully replace everyone in the house. you get bonus points for raising suspicions without actually blowing your cover. so if a mother suspects the dopplegangers that you replaced her children with and tearfully calls 911 in a terror-induced hysteria but can't offer any evidence and the cops just shrug and leave you get like a multiplier to your score. finally there is only one human in the house, and all your copies just stand still, blocking the exits and staring motionless while screaming in the exact same shrill tone while the lone survivor is in a full panic but it's too late. they're here. they're here and nothing can be done.

Mr. Pumroy

the ui would look similar to the sidebar of a c&c game, except instead of rts units, the buttons are the exact duplicates of the particular randomly-generated family that is in that particular house. once a family member is alone (like maybe dad wants to hang out in his garage because the wife is just not giving him his goddamn space) you press a button that begins to remove them from the game (they struggle and clearly do not wish to go). a progress bar counts down the time until the removal is complete. once complete you click and drag your copy of that person into the room. as that copy enters the rest of the house they must occasionally interact with the family, holding their end of conversations that speak to larger issues in the household you are not privy to, but must navigate in order to not incur too much suspicion.

each family member has a suspicion meter that gradually fills as more people get replaced, and depending on a randomly-generated personality each member will react differently as suspicion grows, broadly speaking they will become active or become withdrawn, ranging from defending themselves with household appliances or tools to barricading themselves thinking that will protect them. obviously a barricaded family member actually becomes easier to replace so aside from the score multiplier there is incentive to sow suspicion and panic there as well.

A stealth game where you can travel back in time and gently caress up a different era to change the 'present' environment but in order to gently caress it up you need to inhabit the body of a person who existed at the time. Depending on the stuff you did different elements of the present day map would change, being a real shitlord and killing a whole bunch of people might actually make it harder in the present while secretly sabotaging stuff might cause it to still be hosed up in the present. Differing factions might also be involved, like loving over an old soviet base might cause it to be currently inhabited by ISIS or something as opposed to a modern day russia.

I'm working on a design document for a vertical bullet-hell game where you're a squid who finds a jetpack. The squid advances constantly upwards on the screen towards the surface of the water, trying to break through, but a bunch of evil fish and submarines and stuff are shooting at the squid.

Then the squid breaks through the surface of the water, and the jetpack keeps flying upwards, and there's war going on on Earth so there's planes and tanks and everything shooting at each other and you while you still advance upwards.

And then I guess the squid eventually makes it to space and has to face a final UFO boss?

As you get more of a color's pickup the level starts shifting to have it's platforms in that specific color's configuration. You'd probably want some kind of fast swap ability too, maybe something you gain by filling a meter for a specific color.
