I like L.A. Noire a lot but am well aware it has its share of problems. However, I never really felt frustrated until a certain part later in the game. There is a case where you have to chase a murderer down into some catacombs at night. So you're in an underground maze at night with some candles as your only light source. Your guy actually has a flashlight he's using aboveground but it somehow turns off when you climb down the ladder for whatever reason and I couldn't see poo poo. I don't know if I should have turned up the brightness but I spent like 25 minutes trying to find the right door to advance and I finally just blind-lucked into a corridor somehow where I chased him up another ladder and the camera was so wonly he shot me to death from off-screen so i had to do the whole thing over again and wasted another 15 minutes in the drat catacombs again!

Shadows of the damned is just so incredibly average in gameplay. Weird sense of humor and I like the art design but the entire game is just a 5 out of 10 and it feels like nothing new has come up since like the first 30 minutes.

In 'The Evil Within' somewhat early in the game, you're in a village and you need a chainsaw to cut a chain and you have to fight this crazy chainsaw guy in a barn and I just cannot beat him. I'm low on ammo and like 8 other enemies spawn when he shows up and I have died like 15 times to this guy and I am really getting annoyed. I just know 15 year-old-me could have sliced and diced this guy but my skills are fading like so much dust in the wind

I was never bothered by the present day story stuff and don't recall it being like an overwhelmingly large part of the game and I played some of all the main games in the series. Aliens and betrayal and internet battles were all OK with me. Welp bye.

That time spent searching is meant to build suspense because finding it too fast ruins the atmosphere. One does not simply walk into a floor-door.

Bio shock infinite is a legitimate piece of art and I would rank it above the bible and Michaelangelo's David in importance to humanity. It is, however, below Dante's Inferno.
