It doesn't appear to be on Youtube with any English subtitling, but there's always 1936's Circus, with its amazingly hammy villain and hilariously syrupy ending song about how the USSR loves the world's dejected black children.

Another good recommendation would be 1976's The Irony of Fate, which is a much-loved Soviet romantic comedy. The premise of it is basically that, because of centralized production and nationalized industry, everything looks so similar that the male lead ends up getting drunk on New Year's Eve, accidentally boarding a plane to another city, and going to his own address there, only to find that his key works and the apartment is identical. He falls asleep, and wakes up when the woman who owns the apartment walks in. Her husband accuses her of cheating, as does his fiancee. Here's the animated intro to that film (it's a live action production): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHdFd2RKRSI Speaking off animation, I love Soviet animation. Here's a few of particular interest. An adaptation of Ray Bradbury's There Will Come Soft Rains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LNHYz89sNc Russian cartoon Captain Pronin, Supercop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jdgFCg_rxc Here's a bit of Estonian folklore, with Suur Töll: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDEI06J00nk And though it predates the USSR, it's worth noting that this may be the world's earliest animation (animation was invented in Russia and the US at roughly the same time), the stop-motion Insect's Chirstmas. I believe that the stop-motion tradition in Russian animation led them to be much more open-minded about the kind of materials animation could include: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCZL4K6E1jc
